'This is the last Will and Testament of me CHARLES DUCKERING of No 2 1/2 Halkin Street Grosvenor Place in the County of Middlesex manager of Livery Stables. I hereby do appoint my two sons Charles Duckering and George Duckering and Thomas Gortley of No 75 Lyndhurst Grove Peckham London to be conjointly the EXECUTORS and TRUSTEES of this will and I direct that they shall pay all my just debts and funeral expenses and dispose of my property in the following manner. Ist I hereby give and bequeath to my son Frederick William Duckering a legacy of Three hundred pounds. To my sister Hannah Slater I bequeath a legacy of One hundred pounds and to my sister Kezia Duckering I bequeath a legacy of One hundred pounds. 2nd I hereby give and bequeath to my son the aforesaid Charles Duckering my leasehold messuage No 40 Spencer Road Herne Hill and to my son the aforesaid George Duckering I give and bequeath my leasehold No 38 Spencer Road Herne Hill they paying the rents reserved by the leases under which I hold the same performing and observing the covenants by the lessee and conditions therein respectively contained and indemnfying my executors and administrators there from and from all actions, claims and demands in respect thereof. 3rd I give and devise to my daughter Hannah Maria Duckering my piano and as much of my household goods and furniture as she may prefer to choose and the same shall be hers absolutely. 4th - And as to all and every other property that I may be possessed of or may become possessed of wheresoever and whatsoever I bequeath the same at my decease unto my executors and trustees afroresaid. Upon trust hereby empowering them to retain the said property as it may be invested at my death or to sell and convert it into money as they may consider expedient. And I direct that my said executors and trustees as a first claim thereon shall pay to my daughter the aforesaid Hannah Maria Duckering a sum equivalent to Twenty shillings per week per annum during the whole of her lifetime either in weekly, monthly or quarterly instalements as they prefer. And as a second claim on this my property I direct my executors and trustees aforesaid to pay to my brother Thomas Duckering the weekly sum of Four shillings during his life time. And as to the residue or remainder of this my property including any sum that may be reserved to meet the above payments of twenty four shillings per week after the decease of the recipients of the same I direct that it shall become the absolute property of my three sons viz the aforesaid Charles Duckering, the aforesaid George Duckering and the aforesaid Frederick William Duckering, their heirs, administrators and assigns in equal shares. Lastly I direct my trustees shall be at liberty to retain and allow to each other a fair remuneration for their own loss of time and trouble, incident to the execution of this will.
