Thomas William DUCKERING was born on December 17, 1853 in Holbeach, Lincolnshire, England. He appeared on the census in 1881 in Guisbrough, Yorkshire, England. The family was living at 37 Fenton St., Skelton in Guisbrough and Thomas was an iron miner. He immigrated on December 7, 1884 to New York. Thomas left Liverpool, England on November 29, 1884 and arrived in New York City, New York on December 7, 1884 on the SS Oregon. The following year, on February 12, 1885, wife Martha and children Thomas, William and James Charles, arrived in the United States on the SS Gallia. He was naturalized in 1886. He was a farmer between 1900 and 1930. He appeared on the census on June 12 1900, April 29, 1910 in Howell Co., Missouri and on January 2, 1920 and on April 24, 1930 in Henry Co., Missouri.
