1864. The marriage certificate of Elizabeth and Henry Brown, records that they married on the 12th of June 1864 at the Independent Chapel, Newland Lincoln. She is a spinster, aged 22, residing at Brayford Wharf, St Mary Wigford, Lincoln, daughter of John (deceased) a waterman. Henry is a bachelor aged 30, residing at High Street, St Peter at Gowts, Lincoln and working as a cordwainer. His father is Joseph Brown (deceased) who also was a cordwainer. Two of the witness signatures on the marriage certificate are Arnold and Mary Sharp. Mary is Elizabeth's mother, who has remarried. (Michael)
