Harold worked for the Bank of New Zealand for 45 years in postings all over the South Island - Timaru, Christchurch, Invercargill & Queenstown. He was responsible for the decimalisation programme. He was a Nationalist for over 35 years, a staunch Loyalist & adherent to the British Commonwealth of Nations. His hobbies included deer-stalking in the Southern Alps, jewellery-making, pottery & DIY. Margaret is a graduate in Home Science & taught nutrition & dietetics, as well as dress-making & cookery. She was the New Zealand National President of the Travel Clubs in 1988. After Harold’s death in 1989, she moved toWanaka by Lake Wanaka. A renowned bridge player, she has been runner-up in NEw Zealand’s NAtional Championships. (Steve Osmond)
