There are potentially two choices for Alice’s parents - William Duckering & Margaret Richardson, who had Thomas in 1651, so I have suggested the earliest Alice could have been born to Margaret would be 1653. I have discounted this possibility as Margaret would have been 46 and there is no baptismal record for Alice. I have assumed that William Duckering & Betterice Suttabie are Alice’s parents and that Betterice became pregnant almost immediately after giving birth to William in August 1657 and that Alice was still born and hence no baptismal record.
