George W was born in 1873 at Ingham Lincolnshire to Samuel andLucy Hayes. He married Kate Elizabeth watson in 1898 atAll Saints Ingham. They lived in Ingham and had two childrenand he died on the 21st March 1964 and is buried at All SaintsIngham. George was a church warden for 33 years, a member ofthe choir for over 40 years and church treasurer. In additionhe was a special constable for the village, County CouncilRepresentative for schools.
