Notes for Edward (Spouse 1)
Edward. (Michael 10.5.97 ?)

Edward was born 6 March 1880 in Morcott. He is recorded in the 1881, 1891 and 1901 censuses with the family in Morcott. In 1901 he was a "student for excise" perhaps after his success in local exams, but this did not last as by 1911 he had taken over the drapery business and was living at "Fair View", the family home in High St, Morcott. Edward married Ida DUCKERING on 10 March 1910 in Leicester.

They had 3 children: Edward Cecil (20 Sep 1910 - April 1991), Kathleen Margaret (19 October 1912-23 Sep 2014) and Charles Leslie (22 August 1915-28 June 1983).

Edward died 17 Sep 1943 at Morcott. Ida died in 1955 at Weston-super-Mare, Somerset.
Notes for Edward & Ida (Family)
MATRIMONIAL. - At the Victoria-road Baptist Church, Leicester, a very pretty wedding took place on the 10th inst., the contracting parties being Mr.
Edward Edgson eldest son of Mr J. T. Edgson, draper and outfitter, Morcott, and Miss Ida Duckering only daughter of Mr. C. Duckering. Evington-road, Leicester. The ceremony was performed, in the presence of many relatives and friends of both families, by the Rev. P. T. Thompson, M.A., pastor of the Church. The bride, who was handsomely attired , was given away by her father, and was attended by two bridesmaids - Miss M. Edgson (youngest sister of the bridegroom) of Morcott, and Miss Wilson of Leicester. Mr. Walter Duckering, brother of the bride, officiated as groomsman. After the ceremony , the wedding party drove to the bride'a borne, where the marriage feast was provided. Both bride and bridegroom were the recipients of many handsome and serviceable presents.
The honeymoon was spent at Brighton, and towards the close of last weeks Mr and Mrs R. Edgson took up their residence at the newly-erected villa on the Barrowden-road.
