Skegness Standard, 30 September 1959. Sudden Death. Taken ill on Tuesday, Mrs Nellie Duckering, a native of Gainsborough, died suddenly on Wednesday at the Rockside Hotel, South Parade, Skegness. Aged 67, Mrs Duckering had been in the catering business all her life and for the past five summer seasons had assisted her sister-in-law, Mrs E Hiley, in the catering at the Rockside Hotel, proprietor of whic is Mr E Hiley, editor of the “Gainsborough Evening News.”
