Notes for Mary DUCKERING SEMPER
Name, birth and death information. John's will refers to Mary as his natural daughter. Note she was born before they married Elizabeth. (Daniels - 22.4.96)

At her sister's inquest, it refers to Mary being 'run 'over' -see Elizabeth's file.

Stamford Mercury, 7 November 1890. mr Sept. Lowe, coroner, held an inquest at the Hop Pole inn, Monson-street, on Friday evening, on the body of Mary Duckering, 76, of Monson-street, who died from a fall. She was walking up High-street, when a man who was turning a horse and cart dowen Portland-street shouted to her, starling her so much that she fell. She did not appear to be seriuosly hurt, but it afterwards transpired that her left thigh was fractured. A post-mortem examination led Dr G M Lowe to the opinion that death resulted from natural causes accelerated by the accident. werdict accordingly.

In her will she left her belongings to her sister for her lifetime and then afterwards to her brother John of Green Leaf, Meeker County, Minnesota, USA or his children. ( Daniels -22.4.96)
