Boston Guardian, 28 August 1936. A Burgh Wedding. The wedding took place quietly at the church of SS Peter and Paul, on Saturday, of Miss Myra Ellen Duckering, eldest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs T Duckering, of Martin, near Sleaford, and Mr William Sidney Hiatt Green, elder son of Mr and Mrs J H Green, of “South Dene,” Burgh, Given away by her brother, Mr L Duckering. The bride wore an ankle-length dress of marina blue satin beaute, with a fawn hat and shoes and hose to tone. She carried a spray of pink carnations. There were no bridesmaids. The vicar (Rev W C W Pulleyn) officiated, and Mr F Green, the bridegroom’s brother, was best man. A reception was held at the bridegroom’s home. mr and Mrs Duckering will reside at “Llanberia,” Skegness-road, Burgh. Among the many presents received were a canteen of cutlery from Mr W E Pepper, of Skegness,a nd late of Lincoln, in whose service the bride had been for over fifteen years, a work-box and table from captain E C Pepper, and a 21 piece tea service from Dr and Mrs A W Allen, of Skegness.
