John worked for Fosters in Lincoln making thrashing drums for combines, which were pulled by horses. These were mainly exported to Canada. During the First War John was a wheel wright and also helped in setting up 'nissan' huts. He then later was involved in poultry. (Anthony D. conversation Feb. '96)
