Parish Register, burials 1881 Saint Swithin, Lincoln, John Lanes, abode 3 Union Place, Waterside South, buried fifth March, age 48, E W Barker, Curate.

I am wondering whether John Lanes had two families. I believe he first married Elizabeth near his birth location, Billinghay/Timberland and for awhile they lived there. He possibly came for bricklaying labouring work in Lincoln and met Susan Duckering. They are found living together in the 1871 Census at 8 Union Place. In the 3 April 1881 Census at 3 Union Place, whee he died in March 1881, Elizabeth Lanes is found with some children - is this is formal wife?
