LELIAH MAE (GRESHAM) DUCKERING HINKLE March 8, 1912 Nov. 25, 2010 Graveside services were 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 29, at Schofield Cemetery, Halfway, with Randy Sheldon officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Sheldon Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs.Leliah Mae (Gresham) Duckering Hinkle, 98, was born March 8, 1912, in Chelsa, Okla., the daughter of Carl and Goldie (Rickman) Gresham. She died Nov. 25, 2010, at Community Springs Health Care Facility in ElDorado Springs. She grew up in the Roscoe area of St. Clair County where she met and later married Frank Raymond Duckering on Aug. 29, 1931. To this union five children were born. They spent their lifetime in the Brownington, Halfway and Buffalo areas. She married Hersheld Hinkle in April 1980. He died in 1984. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands: Frank Duckering and Hersheld Hinkle; her sons: Wayne and Freddy; and a sister, Merriam Culbertson. Survivors include her children: Phyllis and husband, Darell Whitesell, Chris and husband, Gary Green, all of El Dorado Springs, and Carolyn and husband, Fred Durnell, Moundville; her sisters: Betty Gilbert and Winnie and husband, Ike Burrow, El Dorado Springs; seven grandchildren: Debra Potter, Dana Jones, Daren Whitesell, Jerry Green, Master Sgt. Gregory Green, Michael Durnell, Stephen Durnell and Tim Duckering; 15 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and many friends.
