Obituary for Carolyn Webster. Carolyn Sue Webster, daughter of Bill and Virginia (Smith) Smith, was born February 6, 1947 in Dallas County, MO, and departed this life on January 3, 2013 at Cox Medical Center-South in Springfield, Missouri. She was at the time of her passing 65 years, 10 months and 27 and 27 days of age.
Sue was reared and attended school in Dallas County, MO. She was united in marriage to Eldon Webster on May 29, 1965 and to this union 3 children blessed the home. Sue and Eldon made their home in the Kansas MO. Sue worked at the Higginsville Rehabilitation Center for 15 years, working with mentally challenged children. She also worked at Chastains. After retiring in in 2001, they moved to Warsaw, MO. Sue loved spending time with her grandkids, reading, doing circle word puzzles, putting together jigsaw puzzles, and was well known for her fried chicken. She had a big heart and was always ready to take care of her kids and grandkids when they were sick.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Ronnie Cummings and Dean Cummings. She is survived by her husband Eldon of the home; her daughter, Kelly & husband Tim Duckering of Buffalo, MO; two sons, Larry & wife Quenta Webster of Warsaw, MO and Russ & wife Tracy Webster of Warsaw, MO; her siblings, Jackie Smith,Todd Smith, William E Smith, William D Smith, Melvin Thompson, Brenda Hayes, grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and many friends who will all truly miss her. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00am Monday, January 7, 2013 in the Cantlon Otterness Funeral Chapel with Rev Roger Mabrey officiating. Escorts will be Melvin Thompson, Justin Thompson, Eric Webb, Kevin Bliss, Romyn Smith, Kamyn Smith, and Stevie Dean Smith, Internment will be in Hopewell Cemetery in Tunas, MO under the direction of the Cantlon Otterness Funeral Home of Buffalo.
