'In the name of God Amen. I John Duckering of Friskney in ye County of Lincoln Carpenter sick & weak in Body but of perfect memory Thanks be to God doe make this my last Will & Testament. First I humbly bequeath my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God my Heavenly Father through his Dear Son Jesus Christ to be received to His mercy for eternall life, And my Body to be decently Interred at the Discretion of my Executors in Sure Hope of a Blessed Resurrection.
And for my worldly Goods where the Lord hath endowed me & Blessed my poor Labours I bequeath in manner following To my Eldest Son William Duckering I give all my Land in the Nortn End of Friskney where I live & which I now have in possession, and to his daughter Mary I give Ten pounds to be payd her & for her Use at the Decease of my Deare wife Mary, And to my Son John Duckering I Give all that my Land at Leverton & Leak lately purchased of George Gibson, And moreover in Friskney Church End I give & bequeath those Four Acres of land & House now in the occupation of John Johnson, and One Acre Lying in the far side of Hillstall Field in ye occupation of Nicholas Fenby, and toward the Repairing of his House in Leverton I give unto the same my Son John ten pounds: And to my Deare wife Mary I give and bequeath the enjoyment during her natural Life of All my Lands in Friskney and Twenty Shillings a year out of my other Lands at Leak & Leverton, And to the poor of Friskney I Freely Give Ten shillings to be distributed to them within Six months after my Decease at the Church of Friskney aforesaid; And of this my Last Will and Testament I make and Appoint my forenamed Deare wife Mary the full and Sole Executor if it please God she Live Half a year to prove the same otherwise in Regard She is very weak & sick at the present and need so Require I doe herebyjoyn with Her my aforesaid second Son John as Joynt Executor. In Witness whereof I have here unto Set my Hand and seal this Twelth day of December in ye year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred & One.'
