On Elizabeth's marriage certificate - 1864 - her father is given as John Duckering, waterman deceased and both Arnold & Mary Sharp have signed as witnesses. See certificate on file.
I believe Mary is the mother of Sarah Ann Duckering, born 12th Jan 1851 & died 1851, Mary Duckering, born 12th Dec 1851 & died 13th Dec 1851 and Mary Ann Duckering, born 16th May 1853 & died 1853. I have drawn this conclusion from her circumstances. Widowed aged 24, the birth localities are all in the same vicintiy of Lincoln, she could not read or write, so made her mark for her marriage to John Duckering and the birth of these children. Is of the right age to bear children and she would would have still two surviving young daughters with her during this period - Elizabeth, born 1842, so 9 in 1851 and Susan born 1846, so aged 5 in 1851. When she married Arnold Sharpe in 1853, they were residing at the same address in clarkson’s Row - so could he be the father of one or more of these children.
