Mabel can recollect growing up with her half Aunts and Uncles, the children of her grandfather and his third wife Flora. In all she believes there were 6 children, Florence and Jim, who were twins, Ronald, Dick, Harold and Ida. She had heard that some of these children had suffered from mental illness.
Mabel died in St James Hospital Leeds in the early hours of the 20th November 1997 from cancer. She refused any pain relief or treatment. (Ann Nash tel. 21.11.97)
