Mary Anne was previously married 5th April 1899 Bilinghay, Lincs to William Willson and her correct maiden name is Sleaford. And she was born 5.9.1874 Walcott, Lincolnshire (Billinghay Parish Register records baptism, ‘1874 Sept 5th no. 784, Mary Ann, John & Emma Sleaford, Walcott, labourer.’

William Duckering, gamekeeper (1864-1951) lived in Martin and Walcott and then Hillcrest, Dunstan Top, nr Martin, Lincolnshire, England. He was my great grans 2nd husband. She was Mary Ann Sleaford (1874-1954) of Martin whose first husband was William Willson who died 1903 in Martin. (Jacky Clark)1618

William was made an executor of his father's will on the 6th of March 1900 and then this was revoked on the 21st of September 1911. See Thomas's file for a copy of the will.

William and Mary Anne are buried at Holy Trinity Church Martin. William's dates are given as born 1864 and died aged 87, 1st April 1951. Mary Anne's dates are, born 1875, died aged 79 22nd June 1954. I have assumed it to be this William because it is the same birth year and also because his father and sister Abra are also buried in the same church yard. (Mark D. 29.10.96 & 8.97)

'THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me WILLIAM DUCKERING of Hillcrest, Dunston Top in the County of Lincoln. I REVOKE all prior Wills and Codicils here to for executed by me. I APPOINT John William Willson of Granfield, Newark Road, Hykeham, Lincoln. to be the sole Executor and Trustee hereof. I DIRECT that all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses be absolutely to my wife Mary Ann Duckering the whole of my estate both real and personal of which I die possessed or is justly due to me. Should my said wife Mary Ann have died before me I THEN BEQUEATH the following legacies that is to say to my grand-daughter Gwen Allen of Grantham the sum of Fifty pounds and I DIRECT that my step-son John William Willson and my step-daughter Alice Jane Walker shall receive in kind such as shall be mutually agreed between them and as to the rest of my estate and effects both real and personal I GIVE to my Trustee upon trust to convert the same into money and to pay and divide the proceeds between my step-son John William Willson and my step-daughter Alice Jane Walker in equal shares each to receivea like amount. The Martin Church Register records the marriage of WilliamDuckering and Mary Ann Wilson on the 25th April 1916. He was abachelor aged 51, an agricultural labourer living in Martin andhis father was Thomas, deceased who was a farmer. Mary was awidow, aged 43, from Martin, whose father was John Wilson,deceased and an agricultural labourer. They were married by C GRobertson and the witnesses were Elizabeth Ingall and SamuelHenry Duckering. (Mark 8.97)
