Scunthorpe Evening Telegraph, 1 January 1957. Duckering. (Lilian), daughter of Arthur Richard Duckering, JP., and Eleanor Duckering, passed peacefully and suddenly way in her own home on Saturday, December 29, 1956. Funeral Wednesday, January 2, 1957, at 1.45pm.
'THIS IS THE LAST WILL of me LILIAN DUCKERING of "The Priory" Kirton-in-Lindsey in the County of Lincoln Spinster.
1. I REVOKE all other wills and testamentary dispositions by me heretofore made.2. I APPOINT my sister Eleanor Duckering of "The Priory" Kirton-in-Lindsey aforesaid and Eric Dyson of Gainsborough in the said County of Lincoln Solicitor executors and trustees of this my will.
3. I DECLARE that the expressions my Trustees shall in this my will and in any and every codicil hereto save where such interpretation is precluded by the context include the Trustees or trustee for the time being of this my will.4. I REQUEST my trustees to give effect to any wishes I may express in any memorandum or memorand a signed by me and desposited with my will in regard to the disposal of any of my chattels and personal effects but nothing here in or in any such memorandum or memoranda contained shall operate to create a trust or impose any binding obligation pn my trustees with respect to the said chattels and personal effects or otherwise fetter their absolute power herein given .
5. I BEQUEATH the following pecuniary legacies (free of duty)
(a) To the Vicar and Churchwardens for the time being of the Parish Church of St Andrew, Kirton-in-Lindsey aforesaid the sumo f One hundred pounds to be used for such purposes in connection with the said church as they may deem fit. (b) To our maid Violet Elizabeth Marshall of Willoughton the sum of Twenty pounds.
(c) To Thomas Bennett of Traingate Kirton-in-Lindsey aforesaid the sum of Twenty pounds.
6. SUBJECT thereto I DEVISE AND BEQUEATH all my estate and effects both real and personal to my trustees upon trust that my trustees shall sell and convert into money such parts thereof as shall be of a saleable or convertible nature and get in the other parts thereof And I direct my trustees to hold the moneys to arise from such sale conversion and getting in and any ready money I may die possessed of Upon trust for such of my sisters Florence Duckering, Mabel Clegg and the said Eleanor Duckering living at my death and if more than one in equal shares as tenants in common absolutely.
7. I DECLARE that my trustees shall have a discretionary power to postpone for such period as to them shall seem expedient the sale calling in or conversion of any parts of my real estate but the unsold real estate shall be deemed to be converted as from the time of my death and be transmissible as personal estate accordingly. 8. ANY trustee being a solicitor or other person engaged in any profession or business may be so employed or act and shall be entitled to be paid all usual professional or proper charges for any business transacted time expended and acts done by him or his firm in connection with the trusts hereof including acts which a trustee not being in any profession or business could have done personally. IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunto set my hand this fourth day of August One thousand nine hundred and thirty seven.
