Notes for Elizabeth Maude DUCKERING
Elizabeth and William married on the 7th September 1904 in a double ceremony with her sister Amy. They moved to Canada in 1907, with their son Glenn, who was aged 3. They briefly stayed with Herbert Cade Duckering at Streamstown and then they stayed with Stanley Inge, to help look after his cattle and other farm chores. They built their house, Lea Park 30 miles north Lloydminster. In 1918 they moved to Nanaimo on Vancouver Island, B.C., where they lived until Will's death in 1948. When her son Glenn moved to Victoria, with work, she moved with him and lived him and his family, until failing health meant she had to move into a nursing home for care. (Mary Inge 26.4.97)
