'This is the last Will of me Kate Duckering of "the Poplars" Kirton in Lindsey in the County of Lincoln Spinster.
1 I revoke all other Wills and testamentary dispositions by me heretofore made
2 I appoint my sister in law Lucy Duckering and my step sister Eva Annie Duckering executors and trustees of this my Will.
3 I declare that the expression my trustees shall in this my Will and in any and every codicil hereto save where such interpretation is precluded by the context include the executrixes or executrix and trustees or trustee for the time being of this Will.
4 I direct my trustees to erect a suitable stone to my memory.
5 I bequeath the following pecuniiary legacies (a) To each of my trustees who shall prove my Will and act in the trusts thereof the sum of fifty pounds (b) To my said step sister Eva Annie Duckering the sums of one thousand pounds and eight hundred pounds absolutely but I request my said step sister (but not so as to impose an obligation or to create a trust) to employ the income of the said sum of eight hundred pounds in cultivating the garden of the dwelling house known as "the Popars" Lirton in Lindsey aforesaid (which said dwelling house and premises will belong to her absolutely should she survive me) and keeping the same in good condition and keeping in repair both inside and outside the said dwelling house and premises and in paying allrates and taxes and outgoing assessed from time to time upon thesaid house garden and premises but I expressly direct that my trustees shall be under no obligation to see the expenditure ofthe said sum of eight hundred pounds or the income there from by my said step sister nor shall they be under any liability if my request to my said step sister shall not be carried out by her(c) To my nephew Robert Elmhirst Duckering the sum of one hundred pounds (d) To Edward Elmhirst Duckering the son of the said Robert Elmhirst Duckering the sum of one hundred pounds (e) To Edith Annie Duckering the wife of the said Robert Elmhirst Duckering the sum of fifty pounds (f) To Victoria Anne Mary Duckering the daughter of the said Robert Elmhirst Duckering the sum of fifty pounds (g) To such children of my cousin Molly Barker as shall be living at my death the sum of fifty pounds each (h) To Heather Woodbridge the daughter of my cousin Gladys Woodbridge the sum of fifty pounds (i) To Miss Sussannah Dewick of Kirton in Lindsey the sum of fifty pounds (j) To Kathleen Chapman of Market Rasen the sum of fifty pounds (k) To the Parochial Church Council of the parish Kirton in Lindsey aforesaid the sum of fifty pounds for such purposes in connection with the Parish Church of Kirton in Lindsey aforesaid as the said Parochial Church Council shall in its sole discretion deem fit (1) To the Kirton in Lindsey and District Nursing Association the sum of fifty pounds And I declare that the receipt of the person who professes to be the treasurer or other proper officer for the time being of any Association Council or Society shall be a sufficient discharge therefor 6 Subject as aforesaid I devise and bequeath all my estate and effects both real and personal unto my trustees upon trust thatmy trustees shall sell and convert into money my said estates or such parts thereof as shall be of a saleable or convertible nature and get in the other parts thereof And I direct my Trustees to hold the moneys to arise from such sale conversion and getting in and any ready money I may die possessed of upon trust thereout in the first place to pay the expenses incidental to the execution of the preceding trust and my debts funeral andtestamentary expenses. And in the next place to pay the pecuniary legacies herein before bequeathed and to stand possessed of the surplus of the said moneys and of all parts ofmy said estates for the time being unsold Upon trust as to both capital and income for my said step sister Eva Annie Duckering absolutely.
7 I declare that my trustees may postpone the sale conversion or getting in of any part of my real and personal estate for such period as they may in their absolute discretion deem fit without being liable to account not withstanding that it may beof a wasting speculative or reversionary nature.
