Notes for Mary DUCKERING
Assuming Mary was a spinster.

1936 West Bridgford Times & Echo, 7 February 1936. “A distinct break with the life of a Sandiacre family is recorded by the death of Miss Mary Duckering, 97, Retford’s oldest inhabitant. Miss Duckering was the aunt of Mr Henry Pask, of 241 Derby-road, Sandiacre. Born the year after Queen Victoria ascended the Throne, Miss Duckering’s early years covered the period known as ‘the hungry forties’, when flour was 5s per stone. She was one of a family of 14, three of whom died in infancy. Of the remainder two reached late midle age, and nine lived to be over 80. Miss Duckering saw the first train go into Lincoln. A brother lives in Derby at the age of 92 - a great old age.”
