The 1881 Census records that Joseph and Rachel had a lodger, Thomas ROBINSON aged 54, unmarried who was also a 'cordwaner'.

FamilySearch.org records Thomas Babington 1768-1849 & Matha Kent 1773-1854 as the parents of Joseph, but cannot verify.
