Amelia stayed with Arthur Gem’s family in 1911 (census) when Arthur was 17 and his father, Hubert was the vicar at Wirksworth, Derbyshire.

In 1940 Amelia received £100 from her brother's Will - Henry. Her address then was given as 9 Imperial Square, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. (See file - Henry - Will)

'THIS IS THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT of me Amelia Duckering of 20 Imperial Square Cheltenham in the County of Gloucester made this 26th (twenty sixth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and forty four. I HEREBY revoke all Wills made by me at any time heretofore I appoint Arthur Havard Arnold Gem of Branwood Haywards Heath Sussex, John Howard Gem of 86 Carless Avenue Harbourne Birmingham to be my Executors and direct that all my Debts and Funeral Expenses shall be paid as soon as conveniently maybe after my decease. I GIVE AND BEQUEATH unto George Elmhirst Duckering of Arley Downhills Road Blundells ands to Grace Harvey Gem of Roderic House Cheltenham to Arthur Havard Arnold Gem of Branwood Haywards Heath to John Howard Gem of 86 Carless Avenue Harborne Birmingham the sum of Thirty pounds (£30) each. The residue of my estate I leave in equal shares to Arthur Havard Arnold Gem to John Howard Gem and to Grace Harvey Gem.
