1918 In the same year the family celebrated the marriage of Eric, now a chief superintendent draughtsman, to Margaret Leneghan, also an elementary school teacher. 1922 Very sadly the following year Eric was diagnosed with stomach cancer. He died six months later in October 1922, aged 29. He left Maggie widowed after just 4 years of marriage. At the time of Eric’s death his address was given as 9 Ashgrove. Maggie went onto marry George Webster in 1933. She had no children. (Email Kate Mawer 16.2.25)
