His name is listed in 'A Register of the Choristers' School,Salisbury (1810-1921) and shows that Edward entered the schoolin March 1845 aged nine. He became Bishop's Chorister in January1851 and remained so until midsummer 1852. Edward learnt to playthe Cathedral organ, but died due to 'consumption, principalyinduced by over study of music in the damp Cathedral.'
