Isabella was the eldest daughter of William Daniel, a commercial traveller in chinaware.
Notes for Charles Marsh (Spouse 1)
At the age of 18 he joined his sister Emma at Shelton School, Stoke-on-Trent, as a teacher at his brother and law's school. After his brother-in-law's early death in 1853, it is known that Charles is still teaching at the school in 1856. The school moved to Richmond Terrace, where an Assistant Edward Griffiths had then joined them, plus his two sister's children, Osmond and Charles Archer, presumably as pupils. The 1871 census records the house as 'The Academy' and the two Archer children are now described as 'Tutors'. By 1884 Charles and Isabella had moved to 169 Howard Place and there is no mention of the Academy. After his wife's death he moved away and lived with his sister Agnes at Buxton.
Isabella & Charles had no children.
