Come on Sat. by dinner train & spend my birthday with us, have until 9 train Mon. if can. I’ll pay fare. Come as you are, no luggage remember. Don’t tell Mrs C. I’ll send box on Fri. as usual. More when I see you. Lots of love your loving mother H.S.’ (Note Mawer & Collingham was a department store in Lincoln and was trading at 229 High Street from 1810 until 1980 when it became apart of the House of Fraser. Assume Frank was working there.
