Notes for Percy DUCKERING
Carpenter (Quentin 23.1.96)

Percy moved to Canada in1903 with his older brother Herbert and did not marry. (Quentin 23.1.96)

'Leaving Liverpool, England in 1903 on the Mount Temple, Walter, Ernest, Percy and Herbert Duckering with his wife and family came to Western Canada as part of the Barr Colony. .... After a few years Percy and Herb traded homesteads and Mr & Mrs H.C.Duckering moved to the other farm. Percy and Ernest remained bachelors and lived together, Percy doing the cooking and Ernestthe field work. .... Ernest and Percy retired to Lloydminster having sold their farm to Keichinger brothers. Ernest passed away in June 1957. Percy then left Lloydminster having some time in Edmonton and Red Deer with relatives. He also lived some months at White Rock, B.C. and Chilliwack, B.C.. He made one trip back to England before he passed away suddenly in October 1961.' (part of an article sent to me by Shirley Hutzkal 17.3.96)
