Grace does not appear in the St Catherines House register under Duckering. Mum says that she was probably born before George and Kate were married and George was not the father. She is probably registered under Schofield. (Joan tel. 2.2.97)
In George Henry's will, it says that Grace Annie Schofield was his stepchild. See will on file. (Michael)
Grace was the eldest of the family and had a very quiet disposition. Joan visited them because Herbert wanted to try out his new car, and Grace did not say a great deal. (Joan D. conversation 12.3.96) For this to be correct Grace had to be born before Ruth Olive who was born in 1915.
